Walter (Ron) Murphy

Walter Ronald Dee Joseph Murphy (Ron) 79 passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 in El Paso, TX. He was born in Boise ID.Mr. Murphy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Kiwanas Club (Southwest Region). He worked most of his life since the age of 12. He was plant manager for Levi Strauss, owner of the Jade House Bar, and worked for Pelusi Enterprise. He was preceded in death by his parents (father) Walter J. Murphy, and (mother) Thelma Prohl. He is survived by his loving wife, Nellie Murphy; sons: Michael Murphy (Dallas, TX.), Tony Suitonu (San Diego, CA.), Scott Suitonu (El Paso, TX.), Raphael Reyes (Orlando, FL.), Catarino Reyes III(Phoenix, AZ.), Jesus Reyes (Rosemond, CA.), Joseph Reyes (El Paso, TX.), Michael A.S. Murphy (El Paso, TX.); daughter, Ruby A. Reyes,( El Paso, TX.); 11 grandchildren; sister, Joanie Immel (Portland, OR.) and brother; Johnny Murphy (Boise, ID.) Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be: Raphael Reyes, Catarino Reyes III, Jesus Reyes, Joseph Reyes, Michael A.S. Murphy and Gabriel Armendariz. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
