Poppa Mike has joined his precious granddaughter Khalia in Heaven forevermore. William Michael Igo, age 67, left this life on earth to everlasting life with our Lord where there will be no more pain and suffering on November 3, 2015. Michael was born on September 9, 1948 to Green Igo Jr. and Susie T. White in Lexington, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen; and granddaughter, Khalia. Michael accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Goodloe Chapel Baptist Church in Richmond, Kentucky. After graduating high school, Michael joined the United States Army in 1966 where he served for 20 years before retiring in 1986 making El Paso his home. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving and devoted wife Teresa; his children William Michael Igo Jr. (Keisha), Nicole (Omar) Durham, Marcus (Valerie) Igo and Teresa (Chris) Frazier; his stepchildren, Daryl (Jennifer) and Aaron (Christa) Morgan, his brothers Lee (Edna) and Jewell (Leisa) and sister-in-laws Fern (Jimmy) Hughes, Paulette Lasley, Marlene (Stanley) Johnson and Becky (Dwight) Taylor. His grandchildren Ellis, Micha, Tyshell Igo, Nadya and Kamryn Durham, Tatianna and Lucca Igo, Jasmin, Lauren and Aaron Jr. Morgan and nephews Carlos Igo, Corey Goffner and Wayne Knifley and numerous friends and relatives. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a 7:00pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am on Thursday, November 12, 2015 New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church, 9491 Railroad Dr, El Paso. Interment will follow at 1:00pm Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Service entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
