William Foster Williams, Sr., 66 of El Paso, Texas went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Monday, July 14, 2014. He was born on October 24, 1947 in Wade, North Carolina to the late Beatrice Colvin and William Benson Isaac.
Foster (Daddy, Pops, Deet-Deet, Bunt, Brother Will, Chill Will, or Will), as he was fondly called by many, was educated in the Cumberland County Public School Systems in North Carolina. He graduated Salutatorian of his class and also was a stellar track athlete, where at one time he held the state record and also in which he earned a scholarship. He went on to Fayetteville State University to pursue a degree in Psychology. He later went back to college and earned a degree in Electronic Engineering.
While in college Foster was drafted in the U.S. Army in August 1969, and toured places such as Germany (2), New Jersey, North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas. He served for 20 years until his retirement as Sergeant First Class.
Foster met the love of his life, Mary Louise Harris-Williams in October of 1965 and they wed in holy matrimony on January 4, 1969 and to this union three children were born. He was married to his loving wife for 45 years.
Foster gave his life to God in 2011 and rededicated his life in 2014.
Foster was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and a great cook, he loved to show what he could do in the kitchen, as so many knew of this. Had a gift of teaching and tutoring his grandchildren, which helped them to excel.
He was Preceeded in death by his mother Beatrice Colvin; stepfather Leslie E. Colvin, Sr.; father William Benson Isaac; and sister Mary Edna Battle. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Louise Williams; his adoring children Patreia (Kelly) Jones, Raquel (Henry) Martin, William (Sonya) Williams, Jr.; his 7 grandchildren: Jhanay Jones, Treikell Jones, Xavier Williams, Ashanti Williams, Imani Martin, Quinten Williams, and Payshance Williams; 6 sisters: Brenda Colvin, Mavis (Wesley) Durant , Winifred Colvin, Pamela Colvin, Claster Colvin, and Styner Colvin; 5 brothers: Leslie (Phyllis) E. Colvin, Jr. , Newanda (Sheila) Colvin, Wayne Colvin, Myers (Janet) Colvin, David (Shirley) Colvin; one brother-in-law Willis Battle, Aunts, Uncles also very special sister and brother Robert and Lula Thompson; a host of nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with Moments of Reflection at 7:00pm on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast located at 4631 Hondo Pass Drive 79904. Home Going Celebration will begin at 11:00am on Friday, July 25, 2014 at House of Prayer Church of God in Christ, located at 5940 Sean Haggerty Drive 79924. Committal Service will follow at 2:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
