Willie Rudolph Rodriguez, 71, Passed away on December 5th 2025 in El Paso Texas.

Willie was born on February 10th 1954 in Van Horn, Texas to Jose and Maria Rodriguez.

Willie was raised in Artesia, New Mexico and graduated from Artesia High School in 1972. He then went on to attend the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico and graduated in 1974 and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. He began his career as a US Army Officer stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky where he was a Tank Unit Commander and a Recon Unit Commander.

Willie left the US Army as a Captain and settled in El Paso, Texas where he picked up hobbies in bowling, golf, firearms and biking. Willie had a high intellect and pursued readings in the Catholic faith and philosophy. He regularly attended Mass in numerous Catholic churches throughout El Paso.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Rodriguez,

paternal grandparents Basilio and Manuela Rodriguez, maternal grandparents Apolinar and Delfina Guerrero along with numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his three younger brothers, Simon, Jose Carlos (Charlie) and David (Davy) along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
