Willie James Smith

Willie James Smith III, 49, passed away on August 7th, 2021 in El Paso, Texas. Willie was born on October 2, 1971 to Placida and Willie Smith Jr., in El Paso, Texas at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center. Willie was a skilled artist his drawings were one of a kind, he had so much talent. He taught himself how to cut hair. He became so good that all the kids from the neighborhood would come over to get their heads faded up. Willie was loved by all, if you were lucky enough to know Willie, he was loyal to his friends and family to the point where he would give you the shirt off his back. If you needed to move a three-bedroom house he would be there helping and complaining. It didn’t matter, he was there for everybody. He is survived by his daughter, Joyelle Chapman, brothers, Mario J. Smith and Victor L. Smith, as well as his parents, Willie James Smith Jr., and Placida Smith. Visitation for Mr. Smith will be from 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM, on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
