El Paso – Yolanda Enriquez Jordan, 69, was born in El Paso, Texas, on December 22, 1956. She was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
She is survived by her sister, Gloria Marquez, and her two beloved children, Iris Lynn Jordan and Tiffany Crystal Jordan; her two grandchildren, Felix Jordan Rodriguez and Star Jordan Valdez; and her three great-grandchildren, Paula Sophia Rodriguez, Joaquín Rodriguez, and Ivanna Rodriguez.
She was a caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true friend. She loved watching movies and dancing. She enjoyed country music, football, and going to the casino. She was an elementary teacher for 38 years with EPISD. She loved teaching children and seeing their smiling faces every day. She went above and beyond, making sure her students and colleagues were taken care of. She gave her time, money, and attention, always ensuring the needs of those around her were met.
She was committed to helping families in need of financial assistance and expected nothing in return. She cherished family time and spending time with her friends. She loved little ducklings because they reminded her of her childhood. She was always happy caring for us all and always had so many stories to share. It would be nearly impossible not to laugh when she told them; she was quite the storyteller.
She loved red roses and collecting gold jewelry. She also enjoyed cleaning, organizing, and taking care of her big truck. She was calm and feisty at the same time, tiny but mighty. She never lacked the desire to lend a helping hand.
Although we will miss her laughter and her beautiful soul, she will always have a place in our hearts forever. We love you, Yoly with a Y, as you used to say. May you rest in peace. We know you are at peace in heaven, reunited with those who have also passed through this world. You have reached your eternal life with God. Thank you for all the memories. We love you and hope to see you again someday.
