“Unseen and unheard, but always near, so loved so missed, and so very dear” Yolanda Rosales-Lopez passed away on April 24, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 25, 1957 and was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX. She was a devout Catholic having attended Guardian Angel Catholic School. She was a 1975 graduate of Bel-Air High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from UTEP in Special Education. She was employed with the Ysleta I.S.D. for 30 years. She spread her kindness and knowledge to students at a variety of schools: Cadwallader Elementary School, Ysleta Learning Center, Ranchland Hills Middle School and currently Hanks High School. She also worked summers at Bel-Air High School with the PASS Program. Yolie loved life and made the best of everything. She enjoyed riding her Harley-Davidson on weekends and spending time with family and friends. She was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. All who knew her will miss her infectious smile, laugh, and energy! Yolie is survived by her loving daughters: Raquel Lopez (Edward Villegas), Rosana Lopez and her grandson, Nicolas Carmello Villegas; parents Marcelo and Trinidad Rosales, three brothers: Marcelo V. (Lupe), Samuel (Lourdes) and Rick; three sisters: Laura Velarde (Al), Cristina and Rita Rosales and many nieces, nephews and her best friend, Viola Villanueva. Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home-East with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
