May 21, 1957 — July 16, 2013

Yvonne Nakashima, 56, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend, and missionary passed away July 16, 2013. Yvonne was born on May 21, 1957 to Manuel and Maria Nakashima in El Paso, Texas. She shared the gospel in prisons in NM, TX and Mexico, working, feeding and clothing the poor and destitute on both sides of the border through her Helping Hands Ministry and others. In recent years she embarked on global missions preaching throughout East and Northeast Africa and Rome. The harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few, more so now as Yvonne had filled many shoes. Yvonne is preceded in death by her father, Manuel; sister, Yolanda. Yvonne is survived by her mother, Maria; son, Marcus; daughters: Michelle and Christina; grandchildren: Aaliyah and Sean; brothers: Jose, Manuel, Mario; and sisters: Yvette and Yolette. Per Yvonne's request, please consider donating to one of the ministries she was involved in lieu of flowers. Thank you Jesus!
